How To Easily Make Someone An Admin On Your Facebook Page

How do I manage roles for my Facebook Page?: 80-85 percent of people who own a Facebook profile has at least one or more pages under their profile.

Unlike before when you can own/set up a page without having to create a Facebook profile. It used to be possible to create a Facebook page without having a personal Facebook profile but the era is over in early 2018. You can no longer create or own a Facebook page without having a personal Facebook profile.

Difference Between Facebook Page And Facebook Profile

Wondering what is the difference between a Facebook page and a Facebook profile? I will clarify to you in the next paragraph.

Facebook Page

A Facebook page is a public profile or account which is purposely created or set up for representation of public figures, to run businesses, celebrities, brands, and organizations. Pages can have an unlimited number of fans (likes) because it does not gain friends like the normal Facebook profile which allows you to have just a maximum number of 5,000 friends.

Facebook Profile

A Facebook profile is the root account of an individual where they can share life moments about them. These moments could be photos, videos, your current location/city, your home time, your school of study, your before or current job, your likes and dislikes.

With the above explanations, one could now tell the disparity between a Facebook page and a Facebook profile.

You must have also understood that the era of having a Facebook page without a Facebook profile is over. Now before you create a page for yourself, business or brand, you must have a personal Facebook profile to enable you to have access to manage a page.

Though you can still make your Facebook profile totally private that no one can even know you are on Facebook but can conveniently manage and run your Facebook page publicly.

Let us assume you have an existing page already or just created one and wish to add someone as an admin, this article will guide you through.

Reasons Why You May Want To Make Someone An Admin To Your Facebook Page

1. For assistance: You may be tied down with other works when your Facebook page really needs attention but there is no time to do so. The best option is to add someone as an admin. (It is recommended you add a trusted friend, staff or family member).

2. Work segmentation: Imagine having a page that posts on different niche. You may need to add different admins who are experts in one of your page niche so they can comfortably manage that niche while other admin does the same for other niches.

3. Security reasons: It’s advised you always have an alternative administrator in cases where your Facebook account is hacked, they can easily make you admin on your old page and remove the old profile to prevent further damages to your page. This is because when your account is hacked or blocked by Facebook, all your associated pages and groups would be lost.

4. Employment purposes: Your page may be a huge one with a lot of potentials. You may choose to create employment for those who don’t have jobs by employing them as an admin to manage your page and in return pay them for services rendered.

How to Add Admin in Facebook Page

Before I give steps on how to add admin on Facebook Page, I would like us to understand and have this in mind.
There are about six (6) different roles for those managing a Facebook page, they include;
1. Administrator
2. Editor
3. Moderator
4. Advertiser
5. Analyst
6. Jobs Manger.

Facebook Page Administrator

When a user sets up a Facebook page, they are automatically made the head admin of that page. Though they can be removed by newly added admins or even by themself. There is no maximum number of admin roles on a Facebook page.

Facebook Page Editor

A Facebook page editor has the right to edit the page, add apps create and delete posts in the name of the page, send a message as the page, respond to comments, delete comments in the name of the page, remove and ban people from the page, create ads, promotions or boosted posts, view page insights, view page quality tab, see who published as the page, publish and manage jobs.

Facebook Page Moderator

A Facebook page moderator has the right to send a message as the page, respond to comments, delete comments in the name of the page, remove and ban people from the page, create ads, promotions or boosted posts, view page insights, view page quality tab, see who published as the page.

Facebook Page Advertiser

A Facebook page advertiser has the right to create ads, promotions or boosted posts, view page insights, view page quality tab, see who published as the page

Facebook Page Analyst

A Facebook page Analyst has the right to view page insights, view page quality tab, see who published as the page.

Facebook Page Job Manager

A Facebook page manager has the right to create ads, promotions or boosted posts, view page insights, view page quality tab, see who published as the page, publish and manage jobs.

Steps To Adding An Admin To Facebook Page

NOTE: You must be an admin to achieve this.

Step 1: Click on Settings at the top of your page

Step 2: Navigate to Page Roles at the left column

Step 3: Search or type the name of the email box to select the person you wish to add as an admin

Step 4: Click on Editor to select a preferred role from the drop-down menu

Step 5: Click on Add and enter your Facebook password to confirm

After the above is done properly, Facebook will send the invite to the person and when they accept, they automatically become an admin of that page.
